Choice Fish Cakes <\/strong>

- 2 cups of flaked fish<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 4 tablespoons of butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- \u00bd cupof chopped onion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- \u00bd cup of chopped celery<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 1 cup of soft bread crumbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 1 egg, beaten<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 1 teaspoon of salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- \u00bd teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- \u00bc teaspoon of ground ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- \u00bc cup of milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- cracker crumbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- vegetable oil for frying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saut\u00e9 the onion and celery until tender. Remove saucepan from heat. Add parsley, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and ginger. Blend well. Stir in the milk. Gently fold in the flaked fish. Form into six to eight cakes and roll lightly in cracker crumbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
