Mention \u201cKnauss fellows\u201d in Washington, D.C., and you are likely to get a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some people know the John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship as an opportunity for individual graduate students to work in coastal and ocean policy. But the network of fellows also serves as an extensive collection of professionals, stretching across disciplines and decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Carolina Sea Grant has had 67 placements through 2014, among the highest in the Sea Grant Network. In the Autumn issue of Coastwatch<\/em>, we debuted \u201cKnauss Fellows: Where Are They Now\u201d to catch up with some past fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn this series we offer strong examples of the dedication that our Knauss fellows bring to their professions throughout their careers,\u201d notes Susan White, North Carolina Sea Grant executive director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meet Jessica Maher, Emily Vuxton and Angela Gustavson, three former fellows, all with careers in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
