{"id":13475,"date":"2021-05-21T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2021-05-21T12:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/?p=13475"},"modified":"2024-05-02T15:15:20","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T19:15:20","slug":"national-parks-in-nc-go-digital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/2021\/05\/national-parks-in-nc-go-digital\/","title":{"rendered":"National Parks in NC Go Digital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13476 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/05\/NPS-Mobile-App.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"697\" height=\"541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/05\/NPS-Mobile-App.jpg 852w, https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/05\/NPS-Mobile-App-300x233.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/currents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/05\/NPS-Mobile-App-768x596.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Wright Brothers National Memorial have announced several new ways for visitors to digitally connect with their national park sites.<\/p>\n<p>The recently released National Park Service (NPS) mobile app, available for free download in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/national-park-service\/id1549226484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iOS App Store<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=gov.nps.mobileapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Play Store<\/a>, gives the public up-to-date information about all 423 national parks in one easy-to-use app.<\/p>\n<p>Included in the NPS mobile app are new audio tours available for Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Wright Brothers National Memorial, as well as up-to-date information on ranger-guided interpretive programs for the upcoming summer season.<\/p>\n<p>A virtual tour of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse also is now available that allows visitors both onsite and across the world to virtually experience a climb of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and to explore 360-degree views from the lighthouse.
