Photo by Jack Thigpen<\/em><\/p>\n By Diana Hackenburg<\/strong><\/p>\n Without the slightest hint of a breeze,\u00a0more than a thousand people stood under a surprisingly hot May sun at Raleigh-Durham International Airport to catch a glimpse of the planes and pilots\u00a0known for facing fierce winds. The visitors were in line to tour Hurricane Hunter aircrafts\u00a0as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s East Coast hurricane awareness tour on May 10.<\/p>\n
