SUMMARY:Shellebrate NC Oyster Month in October
DESCRIPTION:Join us each October as we “shellebrate” the history\, culture\, economy\, and ecology of oysters in North Carolina! \nOysters play an important role in coastal communities. In the environment\, oysters improve water quality and create habitat for other animals. Their unique flavor makes them a desirable dish\, supporting the livelihoods of watermen and local economies across the state. In years past\, the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources\, NC Oyster Trail\, North Carolina Sea Grant\, and the NC Coastal Federation partnered to bring you a week of oyster facts\, resources\, and programming. In 2023\, we will put on NC OYSTER MONTH. Y’all get ready! \nWe share NC Oyster Month information on social media using the hashtags #NCOysterMonth #NCOysters #GiveAShuck #KeepShuckin’. \nView the full list of events at NC Oyster Trail
