{"id":10110,"date":"2022-10-27T09:00:55","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T13:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/?p=10110"},"modified":"2023-12-20T09:42:20","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T14:42:20","slug":"pan-fried-striped-bass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/pan-fried-striped-bass\/","title":{"rendered":"Pan-Fried Striped Bass"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 \u00bd pounds striped bass fillets, skinless, cut into serving-size pieces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 egg, beaten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon pressed garlic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup yellow cornmeal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons canola oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In a shallow dish, blend milk with egg and garlic. In another shallow dish, blend cornmeal, flour and parsley. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper. Dip in egg mixture, then dredge in cornmeal mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat oil in a skillet to 375\u00b0 F. Add butter and melt.
