{"id":10614,"date":"2021-04-01T09:00:06","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T13:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/?p=10614"},"modified":"2023-12-18T19:06:59","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T00:06:59","slug":"fried-striped-bass-with-parmesan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/fried-striped-bass-with-parmesan\/","title":{"rendered":"Fried Striped Bass with Parmesan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 \u00bd pounds striped bass fillets, skinless, cut into serving-size pieces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be cup flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2153 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup Panko crumbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons canola oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper and Parmesan. Beat eggs and milk in another shallow dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pat fish dry. Dip in the flour mixture, then in egg. Coat lightly with the Panko crumbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat the oil in a skillet to 375\u00b0 F. Add butter and melt. Place fish in the pan, cook for about 4 minutes.
