{"id":6543,"date":"2016-06-27T12:48:41","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T16:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/?p=6543"},"modified":"2023-12-19T11:41:46","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T16:41:46","slug":"sauteed-soft-crabs-with-fresh-lime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/sauteed-soft-crabs-with-fresh-lime\/","title":{"rendered":"Saut\u00e9ed Soft Crabs with Fresh Lime"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8 soft-shell crabs, cleaned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 tablespoons fresh lime juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper in shallow dish. Lightly coat crabs and shake off excess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Place crabs upside down in pan and saut\u00e9\u00a0until golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes. Turn and repeat on other side. Remove to warm serving platter. Add lime juice to skillet. Scrape up pan deposits and mix well. Remove from heat immediately.
