{"id":8422,"date":"2017-11-06T07:30:56","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T12:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/?p=8422"},"modified":"2023-12-19T10:33:56","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T15:33:56","slug":"oven-fried-bluefish-with-herb-butter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncseagrant.ncsu.edu\/mariners-menu\/oven-fried-bluefish-with-herb-butter\/","title":{"rendered":"Oven-Fried Bluefish with Herb Butter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 \u00bd pounds bluefish fillets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u215b teaspoon freshly ground white pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 \u00bd cup finely ground fresh French bread crumbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prepare Herb Butter and set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In large shallow dish, combine milk, salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spread crumbs in another dish. Dip fish in milk, then coat evenly with crumbs. Place in a single layer in greased baking dish. Drizzle with melted margarine. Bake at 500\u00b0 F until crisp and golden brown, about 8 to 12 minutes. Remove to serving dish. Serve with Herb Butter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Herb Butter<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00bd cup butter, softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon minced garlic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon fresh lime juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons finely snipped fresh chives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u215b teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u215b teaspoon freshly ground white pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In small bowl, combine margarine, garlic, lime juice, chives, parsley, salt and
