She received her Certification for Research Administration, or CRA, in 2010. She is a past chair of the Sea Grant Fiscal Officers Network.<\/p>\n<p>From 2005 to 2009, Barrow handled financial and grant-related matters for different departments at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">North Carolina State University<\/a>.
