Seacoast Plants of the Carolinas<\/em> has earned two high honors from the American Library Association. Written by Paul E. Hosier,<\/a> the book is published by North Carolina Sea Grant and the University of North Carolina Press.<\/p>\n

Recently the ALA Government Documents Round Table recognized it as a 2019 Notable Government Document (State and Local Selection). \u201cWe are particularly pleased with this honor because the book was nominated by one of our colleagues at the State Library of North Carolina<\/a>,\u201d notes Katie Mosher, North Carolina Sea Grant\u2019s communications director.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Earlier this year, Seacoast Plants of the Carolinas<\/em> also was chosen as a 2019 Choice<\/i> Outstanding Academic Title.<\/p>\n

Subtitled A New Guide for Plant Identification and Use in the Coastal Landscape,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>the book has been hailed as an accessibly written and authoritative guide, as Hosier introduces plant life in the coastal zone of the Carolinas for nature lovers, gardeners, landscapers, students, and community leaders.<\/p>\n
