Applications must be completed by\u00a0<strong>5 p.m., Jan. 21, 2022<\/strong>, through the eSeaGrant portal:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/go.ncsu.edu\/ncesg\">go.ncsu.edu\/ncesg<\/a>. The site includes details regarding requirements for the application package.<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina Sea Grant and NOAA champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by recruiting, retaining and preparing a diverse workforce, and proactively engaging and serving the diverse populations of coastal communities.<\/p>\n<p>Sea Grant is committed to building inclusive research, extension, communication and education programs that serve people with unique backgrounds, circumstances, needs, perspectives and ways of thinking. \u201cWe encourage applicants of all ages, races, ethnicities, national origins, gender identities, sexual orientations, disabilities, cultures, religions, marital statuses, education levels, job classifications, veteran status types, and income, and socioeconomic status types to apply for this opportunity,\u201d the National Sea Grant program explains.<\/p>\n<p>The positions start in August 2022<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0The two-year opportunity offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, and travel and relocation expense reimbursement. Through a new partnership with the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science, three additional fellows will be added to the program in 2022, for a total of nine Coastal Management Fellowship opportunities with state and territorial coastal programs. The NOAA Digital Coast Fellowship also places up to three fellows with Digital Coast Partner organizations every other year, for a total of 12 fellowship opportunities in the national program in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must complete a master\u2019s or other advanced degree at an accredited U.S. university\u00a0<strong>between Aug. 1, 2020 \u00a0and\u00a0July 31, 2022<\/strong>, to be eligible. A broad range of degrees will apply to the fellowships because the projects are varied across the host organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Application packages must be submitted to the Sea Grant office in the state where the degree was\/will be received.
