The <\/span>Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership<\/span><\/a> (APNEP) and North Carolina Sea Grant are accepting applications for the 2023 Graduate Fellowship in Estuarine Research.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fellowship will fund a graduate student based in North Carolina to conduct applied research within the North Carolina portion of the <\/span>APNEP management area<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAPNEP is excited to once again partner with North Carolina Sea Grant to advance estuarine science in the region through this fellowship opportunity,\u201d says Tim Ellis, APNEP\u2019s quantitative ecologist. \u201cOver the years, our graduate research fellows have conducted novel studies that inform the conservation and management of the Albemarle-Pamlico Estuarine System.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Fear, North Carolina Sea Grant deputy director, says assisting our agency partners in the management of our state\u2019s vast natural resources is a highlight of this fellowship. <\/span>\u201cStrong student training is another benefit,\u201d Fear says.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
