Diana Hackenburg has joined North Carolina Sea Grant as a science writer and editor.<\/p>\n

Hackenburg will share information developed through Sea Grant\u2019s research projects and outreach partnerships with a variety of audiences through Coastwatch<\/em> magazine, the Sea Grant website, social media, and other products and communications formats.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiana will be based at our headquarters on NC State University\u2019s Centennial Campus in Raleigh, but will cover topics along the coast as well as inland issues that relate to coastal concerns,\u201d adds Katie Mosher, the program\u2019s communications director.<\/p>\n

Prior to Sea Grant, Hackenburg was the communications manager for Triangle Land Conservancy. She also has worked with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality as a watershed field coordinator, and with Blue Ridge Land Conservancy as a project manager.<\/p>\n

Hackenburg holds master\u2019s degrees in environmental science and public affairs from Indiana University-Bloomington, along with a bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental science from Marietta College in Ohio.<\/p>\n

North Carolina Sea Grant is a federal\/state partnership that <\/em>provides research, education and outreach opportunities relating to current issues affecting the North Carolina coast and its communities. <\/em><\/p>\n
