The North Carolina Coastal Reserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve<\/a> joins North Carolina Sea Grant<\/a> to open applications for a joint fellowship, with proposals due by 5 p.m., Nov. 21, 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The N.C. Coastal Research Fellowship<\/a> provides North Carolina-based graduate students with an opportunity to conduct research within one or more of the 10 sites that constitute the Coastal Reserve. \u201cUsing the reserve sites as a research platform, fellows must conduct hypothesis-based projects that address coastal management issues,\u201d notes Brandon Puckett, research coordinator for the Coastal Reserve.<\/p>\n

The proposed research must fit into one or more of the following broad focus areas:<\/p>\n
