We hope you will bookmark this posting for quick reference during the beach season.<\/em><\/p>\n This summer, the National Weather Service offers information about North Carolina beaches at a glance.<\/p>\n Go to www.weather.gov\/beach<\/a> and click on umbrella icons along the state\u2019s coast to get detailed updates from NWS offices in Newport\/Morehead City<\/a>, Wilmington<\/a> and Wakefield<\/a> in Virginia. Other areas of the nation are included.<\/p>\n \u201cThe beachgoer has access to all pertinent beach information on one page \u2014 rip current risk, UV index, water temperatures and weather conditions,\u201d says Tom Lonka, an NWS meteorologist in Newport\/Morehead City.<\/p>\n NWS offices serving North Carolina also provide daily postings of rip current risk during the beach season.
