Broiled Black Sea Bass with Dill Sauce

Recipe

  • 1 ½ pounds black sea bass fillets
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

Prepare Dill Sauce and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Place the rack in the top third of the oven and preheat the broiler.

Brush fillets with melted butter.  Lightly salt and pepper. Place on a greased broiler pan. Broil until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 8 to 10 minutes. Pour Dill Sauce over fish.

Dill Sauce

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tablespoons minced fresh dill, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon pressed garlic
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground white pepper

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper.  Refrigerate at least 1 hour.  Spread over hot fish.
