Grilled Striped Bass with Garlic Mayonnaise


  • 1 ½ pounds striped bass fillets, skinless, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • salt
  • freshly ground white pepper

Prepare Garlic Mayonnaise and refrigerate.

Preheat the grill to medium-high.

Brush fish with melted butter. Lightly salt and pepper.

Place fish on the grill and cook for about 6 minutes. Flip and cook for another 6 minutes or until done.

Remove to a platter and spread with Garlic Mayonnaise.

Garlic Mayonnaise

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon pressed garlic
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh tarragon

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice and tarragon, mix well.  Refrigerate until ready to use.  Spread over cooked fillets.
