Grilled Black Sea Bass with Smoked Paprika

Recipe

  • 1 ½ pounds black sea bass fillets
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ teaspoon pressed garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika

In a small bowl, combine butter, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper and smoked paprika.

Place fish in a shallow dish. Brush with butter mixture. Marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Place marinated fish on well-oiled grill. Cook about 4 to 5 minutes. Flip over and repeat, cooking until done.

Black sea bass are found along the Atlantic coast from Massachusetts to Florida.  They prefer hard-bottom areas and are found with other reef fish such as snappers and grunts.
