North Carolina Sea Grant has received funding to help expand the state’s shellfish aquaculture industry. The award is from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/National Sea Grant 2015 Aquaculture Extension and Technology Transfer program.

NC Sea Grant Seeks Science Writer/Editor
North Carolina Sea Grant is looking for a new member for its award-winning communications team. The science writer/editor will use a variety of media to share information developed through Sea Grant’s research and outreach on myriad topics related to North Carolina’s coastal ecosystems and economies. Duties include, but are not limited to, writing for Coastwatch magazine and www.ncseagrant.org.

NCSG/APNEP Joint Fellow Announced
North Carolina Sea Grant and the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership, or APNEP, have awarded the 2015 Graduate Fellowship in Estuarine Research to Liz Brown-Pickren. The fellowship provides funding for graduate students based in North Carolina and Virginia with an opportunity to conduct applied research within the North Carolina portion of the APNEP management boundary.
