Christy Perrin provides leadership for initiatives that involve people from many backgrounds in sustainably planning, educating about, protecting and restoring water resources. She works collaboratively with partners to support local watershed improvement efforts and statewide initiatives. Christy previously managed Watershed Education for Communities and Officials, a NC State University Extension program, and began her career at NC State with the Natural Resources Leadership Institute.
Christy earned her master’s in public administration with an environmental policy focus from NC State University and her bachelor’s in animal science with a wildlife biology minor from University of Vermont (UVM). She returned to UVM to earn a certificate in sustainability and has extensive training and experience in public involvement and group facilitation. She became a NC Certified Environmental Educator in 2026 to support her growing interest in serving K-12 audiences. Additional career details are available on LinkedIn.
