NC Sea Grant Announces New Core Research Projects

National Sea Grant Partners with US Coastal Research Program 

North Carolina agencies, businesses and community partners interested in extending coastal research into applications are invited to submit topics to North Carolina Sea Grant to be considered for proposals to a new program funded by national Sea Grant and the U.S. Coastal Research Program (USCRP). Letters of Intent must be filed by NC Sea Grant by June 15.

Deadline Extended to April 22 for NC Sea Grant/Space Grant Fellowship Applications

North Carolina’s Sea Grant and Space Grant programs have a new deadline for its joint fellowship:April 22. This one-year, $10,000 fellowship will be awarded to one graduate student, whose work addresses a high-priority research need within North Carolina’s coastal areas, watersheds and nearshore environment.

Applications Open for NC Science Policy Fellowships

North Carolina Sea Grant has opened applications for the 2022 NC STEM Policy Fellowship, with a deadline of March 28. The fellowships provide graduate students from North Carolina colleges and universities with opportunities to serve full-time for a year in high‐level state government offices, focusing on policy topics related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
