Community Collaborative Research Grants

The Community Collaborative Research Grant Program, or CCRG, receives support from North Carolina Sea Grant and the state’s Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), in partnership with the William R. Kenan Jr. Institute for Engineering, Technology and Science (KIETS) at North Carolina State University.

CCRG projects use a collaborative research approach that couples local knowledge with scientific expertise.

This opportunity requires a local knowledge expert and scientific lead. Proposals also should align with WRRI, North Carolina Sea Grant, and KIETS’ strategic plans.

Funding is available for one-year projects, and awards will range from $5,000 to $25,000. Full details on eligibility and application requirements are included in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The anticipated start date is May 15, 2025.

Deadline

Applications will close on January 24, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
