NC Sea Grant Seeking Summer Video Production Intern

NC Sea Grant is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Production Intern for a short-term summer internship to support the development of multimedia products. The application process is detailed in the full posting at https://eseagrant.ncseagrant.ncsu.edu/index.php 

The intern will work directly with our producer to conceptualize, shoot, and, primarily, edit short-form videos that align with NC Sea Grant’s communication goals and visual brand.

This is a paid, short-term summer internship that will run roughly from July 1-August 31, with the potential to be extended into the fall semester. Students will work on a flexible schedule, having the opportunity to build a professional portfolio through real-world production experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to gain hands-on experience in video storytelling.

Key responsibilities for the intern include: video production and editing; creative execution using Adobe Premiere Pro and other tools; collaboration with the producer and broader communications team; and, deliver final video assets in the correct formats for web and social media.

Applicants will ideally have:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with a creative eye for storytelling
  • Location near NC State Campus this summer and/or access to Adobe suite products

Experience with Adobe After Effects, field production – especially interviews -, and Sony cameras and/or drone footage is also beneficial.

This internship will require at least 20 hours a week for 6-8 weeks, depending on start date. It is a hybrid internship with a preference for students who can come to the Raleigh office. The student can work remotely as long as they have access to Adobe products.
