North Carolina Sea Grant Calls for Preproposals for Applied Coastal Research

North Carolina Sea Grant is now accepting preproposals for the 2026–2028 applied research grant cycle, with awards up to $150,000 each for projects that address problems affecting coastal ecosystems, economies, and communities. The deadline for preproposals is January 13, 2025.

Community Collaborative Research Grant Program Calls for Proposals

North Carolina Sea Grant, North Carolina Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), and the William R. Kenan, Jr. Institute for Engineering, Technology and Science (KIETS) are accepting proposals for the Community Collaborative Research Grant (CCRG) program for projects to start in May 2025.

NC Sea Grant Accepting Partner Proposals for the Community Engaged Internship Program

North Carolina Sea Grant is accepting project proposals until December 6 to host students in the 2025 Community Engaged Internship Program. Host sites supervise interns and may include current partners and organizations, non-profits, government agencies, university and college faculty, and local community groups.

National Knauss Fellowship Program Selects Five NC Finalists

NOAA and the National Sea Grant Office have announced their finalists for the 2025 class of the Sea Grant John A. Knauss Policy Fellowship Program. Of 88 finalists from the 34 national Sea Grant programs, five are from North Carolina: Robin Fail, Everett Craddock, Maylyn Hinson, Delaney McBride, and Hayden Rudd.
