Sandra Harris Named to Order of the Long Leaf Pine

Sandra Harris of Raleigh is a new member of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the State of North Carolina’s “highest honor of recognition.” She soon will retire from NC State University, with 37 years of state service. Signed by Gov. Roy Cooper, her certificate notes his “special confidence in the integrity, learning and zeal” of Harris, a member of North Carolina Sea Grant’s team for 24 years.

Susan White Named NC Space Grant Director

Susan White is the new director for North Carolina Space Grant, after having served as interim director since February. White also serves as executive director of North Carolina Sea Grant and the state’s Water Resources Research Institute. All three statewide programs have headquarters at NC State University.
