New Reef Fish Fellow Jumps Into Angler Outreach

“The South Atlantic Sea Grant programs are excited to work with Ryan McMullen as our latest reef fish fellow,” says Scott Baker, fisheries specialist with North Carolina Sea Grant. “Ryan has a lot of enthusiasm for angler outreach and has jumped right into the fellowship plan of work.”

Applications Open for Sea to Stars Fellowship

North Carolina’s Sea Grant and Space Grant programs are currently accepting applications for Graduate Research Fellowships for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two fellowships of up to $10,000 may be awarded to students whose projects address a priority research need within the state’s nearshore environments, coastal areas, watersheds or human activities in these areas.
