Join the NC Climate Education Network for an open house webinar focused on ocean acidification and its effects in North Carolina. This webinar will feature Dr. Janet Reimer and Dr. Liz Perotti, both of NOAA's Ocean Acidification Program, and Knauss Fellow Natalie Lord, also with the Ocean Acidification Program.
The Carolinas Collaborative on Climate, Health, and Equity will host a free webinar on climate change trends, focusing on the impacts of sea level rise on septic systems and water quality. Jane Harrison, North Carolina Sea Grant’s coastal economics specialist, will facilitate a conversation among experts on Wednesday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.
This presentation will summarize the recent US Supreme Court’s Sackett decision which narrowed the extent of the Clean Water Act, notably for the Section 404 Permitting portion of the Act implemented primarily by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Local examples of the impact of the decision will be discussed to illustrate the effect of the decision.
