NC Sea Grant Opens Online Survey to Update Strategic Plan

North Carolina Sea Grant is developing the program’s 2024-2027 strategic plan — and the team is looking for a broad range of perspectives on current and emerging priorities for coastal communities and ecosystems. The planning process includes an online public survey that should take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

“It covers topics such as resilience; coastal ecosystems; fisheries and aquaculture; education and workforce development; along with Sea Grant’s roles in research, extension/engagement and communications. The survey also will help us focus on ongoing and new partnerships, as well as our commitment to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and accountability,” notes Susan White, NC Sea Grant executive director.

The deadline for responses is Monday, June 27, 2022. “Our strategic planning process will only be successful with feedback and guidance on how North Carolina Sea Grant can best serve coastal communities and ecosystems, as well as the state overall,” White adds.
