Sea Grant, DEQ, and Partners Announce NC Stream Watch Educator Cohort

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Water Resources announces an exciting new chapter for the NC Stream Watch education program. The new effort, which includes an inaugural class of Stream Watch educators, is in partnership with the North Carolina Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), North Carolina Sea Grant and the nonprofit Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC).

NC Sea Grant-Led Coastal Landscapes Initiative Transforms DREAMS Center’s Wilmington Location with Eco-Landscaping Project

Partners with the NC Sea Grant-led Coastal Landscapes Initiative (CLI) came together in October to complete an eco-landscaping project at the DREAMS Center for Art Education’s inner-city location on Fanning Street, in Wilmington, N.C. DREAMS is a non-profit organization that provides confidence-building art programming throughout the Wilmington area for more than 600 youth and teens annually.

Apply Now for a Joint Fellowship with Sea Grant and National Marine Fisheries

North Carolina Sea Grant is now accepting applications from doctoral students for the 2024 National Marine Fisheries and National Sea Grant Fellowships in “Population and Ecosystem Dynamics” and “Marine Resource Economics.” Applications are due by 5 p.m. Eastern on Jan. 25, 2024.
