NC Sea Grant Seeks Coastal Economist

North Carolina Sea Grant has an opening for a coastal economist based at its headquarters in Raleigh. This is a two-year position, with the possibility for extension based on budget and funding availability.

Applicants should hold a doctorate or master’s degree in economics or a related field. The successful candidate will facilitate the expansion of a statewide network of applied economic analysis professionals focusing on coastal issues.

North Carolina Sea Grant provides research, education and outreach opportunities relating to current issues affecting the North Carolina coast and its communities. An interinstitutional program of the University of North Carolina system, Sea Grant optimizes the environmental, social and economic potentials of the state, while maintaining long-term viability of coastal and marine resources, by funding high-quality research, extension and educational programming, and related communications efforts.
