Registration Opens for the 2022 North Carolina Coastal Conference

For immediate release

Registration for the 2022 North Carolina Coastal Conference is now open. On November 7 and 8, the hybrid conference will take place online and in person at NC State University in Raleigh. North Carolina Sea Grant hosts the event.

“This year’s Coastal Conference is a welcome opportunity to engage with partners invested in, and committed to, supporting the vibrancy of our state’s coastal communities, environments, and economies,” says Susan White, executive director of North Carolina Sea Grant. “I’m particularly excited to learn from students across a range of disciplines as they present their works’ impacts.”

The event will offer sessions on a range of current issues relevant to our coast and the watersheds that feed our estuaries and ocean. Topics will focus on research and outreach, across disciplines that include STEM fields, the arts, education, and the humanities.

“The engagement and energy arising from conference participants from academia — and our partners from government, non-profit, and local communities — create great optimism and opportunities for continued positive impacts across the coast,” White adds.

The North Carolina Coastal Conference also offers sponsorship opportunities at several different levels, some of which include free registration.
