Coastwatch Magazine Earns National Accolades

The National Sea Grant Communicators network singled out Coastwatch magazine for recognition during a virtual celebration of the network’s biannual Excellence in Communication Award. The magazine was the sole periodical from 34 Sea Grant programs across the country that judges named among the three finalists for the award.

National Fisheries Fellow to Focus on Dolphinfish

A North Carolina State University doctoral student, Matthew Damiano, is among the newest fellows selected by a joint program of the National Marine Fisheries Service and the National Sea Grant College Program to address the critical need for the next generation of specialized experts in fisheries management. He was nominated by North Carolina Sea Grant.

NOAA and Sea Grant Select Four Knauss Fellowship Finalists from NC

After a highly competitive review process, NOAA and Sea Grant have announced the finalists for the 2021 class of the Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship program. These 74 finalists include four graduate students from North Carolina: Jashira Torres Pabón, Kayelyn Simmons, Joseph Fader and Cameron Adams.
