Coastal Communities, Accessible Coast, 100-Year Flood Featured in Coastwatch

North Carolina Sea Grant continues its work to build stronger, more resilient coastal communities. Our efforts encompass topics in development, economies, ecosystems and traditions related to the state’s coast. In the Spring 2017 issue of Coastwatch magazine, Katie Mosher explains the research and outreach, and highlights our 2017 Coastal Conference set for April 4 and 5 with the key theme, resilience.Coastwatch Spring 2017

Sea Grant staff outline current efforts in related stories. Diana Hackenburg explains how new research links economic development with ocean and coastal resources. Barry Nash outlines how he helps local businesses develop new items to offer to hungry, eager consumers.
